SOAR is current active in many communities across the state – Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego**, Oakland, Santa Cruz, Bakersfield, Berkley, Eureka, Long Beach, Merced, Napa, Orange/Santa Ana, San Luis Obispo, Santa Clara, Shasta, Solano, Sonoma, Tulomne and Ventura.

** If you are looking for assistance in the San Diego area please contact Abigail Kirkman (akirkman@prainc.com) and she will put you in contact with the San Diego SOAR Local Leads

California uses the SOAR Online Course (https://soarworks.prainc.com/course/ssissdi-outreach-access-and-recovery-soar-online-training) to train case managers in the SOAR process.  This training is often followed up by an in person SOAR Online Course Review Session.  The SOAR Online Course is free, open to the public and can be started at any time; once completed, 20 free CEUs through NASW will be awarded.  Prior to beginning the SOAR Online Course we strongly advise that you and your supervisor review ‘Getting Involved with SOAR’, found at https://soarworks.prainc.com/article/starting-your-soar-initiative.

Please explore HDAP as a potential funding opportunity for SOAR (http://www.cdss.ca.gov/Portals/9/County%20Letter/ACWD_HDAP_7-27-17.pdf?ver=2017-07-27-134127-853)
